Seymour Duncan Vintage P-90 Cream Soapbar Bridge Pickup for Gibson 11301-06-Crc
Seymour Duncan SP90-1b “Vintage” P-90 soapbar pickup. Bridge position with cream cover. Introduced in 1937, the P-90 Soapbar’s distinctive gutsy sound make it Gibson’s® most popular single coil pickup. The wide body had a coil with long outer turns for greater capacitance and a smooth, powerful response. Duncan faithfully duplicates every detail in sound, construction and appearance in this vintage model. Includes wiring diagram and mounting hardware. Made in the USA.
application
Faithful recreation of the 1946 Gibson single-coil. Recommended for country, jazz, swing, blues, rockabilly, classic rock and heavy rock.
description
The short, wide bobbins account for higher output and more powerful mid-range than Strat or Telesingle-coils. To be vintage correct, the SP90-1 is wound with plain enamel wire on the same Leesona winder that wound the 1950s versions. The tone is sweet and smooth. Comes with single-conductor hookup cable.
guitars
For balanced and warm instruments. Works especially well with mahogany bodies and rosewood fingerboards. Please note the slightly taller, vintage correct, .745″ height profile, compared to the SP90-2 and -3. Consult our website for complete dimensions to see if it will fit your guitar.
players
