How it Began

Welcome to Liquid Audio, your go-to destination for all things music! Our journey began in 1996 when our co-founder, Bobby Ghazi, started selling gear on his own website. With a keen eye for business and a love for music, Bobby transitioned into the traditional retail space in 1999, selling audio equipment for a big box retailer in Savannah, Georgia. It was there that he noticed a significant gap in the market – many customers were searching for specialized products that weren’t available in local music stores.

Driven by a desire to revolutionize the industry and provide music lovers with a one-stop-shop for all their gear needs, Bobby took his experience and passion for audio online five years later. For years Bobby expanded his product selection when he added DJ gear to his offerings. That was when he had a chance encounter with Eric Schwartz, a music festival organizer from Ohio. When Eric couldn’t find a particular piece of gear locally, Bobby came to the rescue and got the gear to him the next day. Impressed by Bobby’s exceptional service and expertise, Eric knew he had to team up with Bobby to create something special. In 2008, they joined forces to launch Liquid Audio, a retailer specializing in pro audio and music gear.
