The omni-directional polar pattern picks up sound 360° around the microphone, ensuring that everyone in the room is heard clearly and intelligibly. A neoprene rubber pad is added to the bottom of the unit to decouple the microphone from the surface, helping to reduce unwanted pick-up noise.
